The Pianca & Partners debut at Salone del Mobile, the most important event for the furniture and design industry, now in its 60th year, sets a fundamental milestone in the definition of a new contract furniture concept.
Taking overall responsibility for the entire design and planning process, and also promoting a dynamic, tailored, flexible development model, Pianca & Partners is taking things one step further by offering its services as a general contractor for the entire chain of industry professionals who seek a contract hub to meet their particular needs.

Stand B02, in Hall 10 at Rho Fiera, the backdrop designed by Studio Marco Piva, provides an opportunity for an attending public of industry professionals to meet and discuss ideas, focussing on the concepts of interaction, experience and conviviality. This open construction, surrounded by glass walls, features four interconnected open space areas that represent the sectors in which the Partners operate: Hospitality, Residential, Corporate and Nautical. The key elements in the four areas, positioned around a Conversation Space, are Experience Tables, interactive tables that let users enjoy a simultaneous tactile and digital experience.

“Pianca & Partners is synonymous with quality and innovation, and as such it has to be distinctive. This is why the stand that I designed emerges in a path exploring engaging narrative and experience. The design process was shaped to model a unique attraction towards space, which certainly does not go unnoticed: the light surrounds it and raises it up from the ground. This visual appearance of lightness and fluid forms, combined with the interactive nature of the material tables, will create a unique, memorable experience for every visitor,” stated Marco Piva.
“Putting trademark Made in Italy expertise at the disposal of architects, interior designers, developers, contractors and investors, Pianca & Partners possesses the expertise required to optimize the processes involved in a construction or renovation project, effectively streamlining procedures within budget and delivery times,” says Aldo Pianca, founder of Pianca and promoter of Pianca & Partners. “With contract the main focus as always, we offer tailor-made office furniture and systems, interior doors, security doors, glazing, wood panelling, wall paper and lighting – Pianca & Partners guarantees high quality and a synergistic rapport between the various companies.”

Pianca & Partners is the product of listening to what designers need, and of the desire to provide solutions for anyone who is constructing: an idea, a home, a space, a location. This was the starting point that delivered a new interlocutor for the world of design. To facilitate relations between design professionals and companies, promoting a flexible, dynamic, bespoke development model.

Pianca & Partners will also be presenting a new service created for design studios and companies at the trade fair: the P&P Virtual Reality Modeling Service, immersive technology that uses virtual reality to help designers elaborate their visions and bring them instantly to life in 3D. Visitors to the stand can book a session to experiment with the virtual world of Pianca & Partners and explore it by simply donning a VR headset.

Physical and digital mood boards are set up on the Experience Tables. The physical mood boards – 3D models featuring surfaces and geometric solids with different shapes and textures – visually display the unique characteristics of the Partners, allowing you to create textural block forms to touch and observe. The digital mood boards are fitted with touch screen monitors. Custom-developed software allows users to access a materials library to create a bespoke mood board that can be shared on social media and digital platforms.

To explain a path that combines creativity and technology using the voices of designers and developers, two public events will be held at the trade fair to discuss new opportunities in design and planning. Wednesday 8th June a talk will be held with architect Marco Piva entitled “Contract 4.0: the strategic role of the architect”. On Friday 10th June it is the turn of “Virtual Reality Modeling Service”, a useful talk on how to develop an idea using VR. The speakers are architects Michele Rinaldi of Studio 4ASSOCIATI of Milan and Alan Magnolato of Pianca & Partners.
